A second blog??
Go have a look at Changeblog, where I'll be dropping future AWS hosting changes info and banter if this is unavailable
Nothing major though, something I cooked up to relay info in cases where this or AWS generally screams and dies (and to keep my users informed on changes I make to the platform - less emails and phone calls asking why <foo> is down)
It also gives me a chance to learn Hugo, one of several static site generators that need nothing but object storage (like S3 or Azure Blob Storage) and a webserver (in this case it's Cloudfront but at least I can add SSL to it) - and it has built in redudancy... and is cheap.
The site is at changeblog.thatfleminggent.cloud, and once I've gotten more familiar with it's capabilities I'll add links to the status page (at Uptimerobot) and maybe even a Grafana dashboard (that is a little fancy and aesthetically pleasing, if such a thing is possible) for the nerdy.
I may even toss in some Useful Information on some AWS and general cloud tips if it's slow and the info too niche for the general public - gotta consider appropriate audiences (the techies will know where to go 😄)
