I’ve not dropped off the planet, I’ve just been busy.
After being sick for three days (and “passable but not in ideal shape” for a while after that) it was back into the front lines at work – the svr.sys bug really NEEDED to be patched, which took my colleague Mark and I a couple of nights to complete, what fun. Maybe (or not). All’s gone well on that front from that time.
I must apologise to Bri next time I see her, as I missed her last week due to the above and being generally stuffed (tired). Will I be making up for it this week? Oh yes sir! (but it’s a pleasure)
The unit next door has a new occupant in Alicia – not sure where she works (a lot of the folks in this complex work for Virgin Blue as it’s just across the road so that’s what I’m assuming) but she’s been quiet, aside the one Saturday night where she knocked on all our doors asking if we were the ones toking up – not me sis (I wouldn’t bogart if I did…) but I am glad you didn’t scream and run, given that I did answer the door wearing a towel and wet hair. A minor glitch, which I’ll forgive as she’s a bit cute 
I’ve got a couple of bugs in Fedora to clean up, still progressing on those. For my own use, I’ve also packaged up and am using (as in “right now as I type”) the Quod Libet player, on the same day some enterprising soul submitted it to Extras. It’s plugin architecture allows those poor buggers on my IM list to know what it’s playing via a Gaijim notifier, so they can suffer too.
The Postfix upgrade mentioned in my last message also is working very well indeed
I’ve been gaming a bit too – Unreal Tournament 2004 (which I’m fairly decent at, as I was UT2003/UT) and SW:Battlefront II – the latter’s great, quite accurate (Stormtroopers are shit shots and their weaponry is no more powerful than some strong language) and most of all good fun.
Today itself was Ekka show holiday – I’ve not been in years, so haven’t missed much. This is also the WORST day to go, as it’s usually crammed to the gunnels, especially Sideshow Alley and the showbag pavilion. Ergo I’ve cleaned up and just bummed around the CBD today.
